The International Symposium on PersistentToxic Substances & Health (ISPTS) is the premier event for scientists and experts to discuss the latest research progress and developments in the areas of persistent and emerging contaminants. The 17th ISPTS will be held in Chania, Crete, Greece on Sept 26 to Oct 1, 2022 and will be co-organized by the Technical University of Crete, the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of CAS and Nanjing University. Among the symposium’s themes, the following are included:
· Sources, transport, and the fate of PTS
· Emergingcontaminants of concern
· Toxicologyand eco-toxicology of PTS
· Analytical and bioanalytical methods
· Risk assessment of PTS, and modeling their fate and toxicity
· Mitigation and remediation of PTS, emerging, and other contaminants
· Effectsof PTS on human health
· Special sessions on Bioelectrochemical systems for tackling PTS contamination and Microplastics and nanoplastics
